Paula Dranger is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Valparaiso University, teaching in the Departments of Social Work and Sociology. She has taught courses including Health in the Community, Forensic Health: Victims and Offenders, Forensic Health: Scope and Issues, and Research and Program Evaluation. Dranger also serves as Director of Clinical Addictions Counseling at the Graduate School, Assistant Director of Counseling Services, and Coordinator of the Sexual Assault Awareness and Facilitative Education (SAAFE) Office at Valparaiso. She received her Master of Social Work from Loyola University, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC). Additionally, she is certified as a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), Mediator, and Certified Program Planner (CPP). She is Chief Executive Officer of Choices! Counseling Services, a full-service mental health agency with offices throughout Indiana. A member of numerous professional organizations, including the Academy of Certified Social Workers, the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselors, she has published articles on topics of clinical interest such as trauma and crisis management.
