Leigh Morris began his career in manufacturing and moved into a number of managerial and executive positions related to healthcare, government, and economic development. He first transitioned to healthcare administration after receiving his graduate degree from the University of Minnesota, serving as CEO of various health and hospital organizations for the nearly 30 years. He continues in this line, currently serving as a consultant for IU Health LaPorte Hospital. He served as President of the Society for Healthcare Planning and Marketing and was Chairman of the American Hospital Publishing Company. Morris held a number of other civic and corporate executive leadership positions, including mayor of LaPorte IN, ED of the Indiana Toll Road Commission, and Senior VP of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. Morris recently signed on as an Associate Professor to teach in Valpo’s Graduate School Health programs.
